John Gatins (screenwriter) Interview
Screenwriter John Gatins is making a name for himself in Hollywood. He wrote both Coach Carter and Real Steel and now gives us the intense drama Flight. Gatins wrote the film, stemming from his own bout with alcoholism and his fear of flying. It stars Denzel Washington as a seasoned airline pilot who miraculously crash lands his plane after a mid-air catastrophe, but the investigation that follows leads to more questions than answers.
Tribute.ca spoke with John in L.A. about writing the film and how he feels these days about stepping onto a plane.
