It took director Peter Lord and his team five years to complete the new stop-motion animated family comedy, The Pirates! Band of Misfits. Voiced by a talented group of British actors, the film focuses on the adventures of the Pirate Captain (Hugh Grant) who sets out on a mission with his bumbling crew to win the much coveted Pirate of the Year Award.

Bonnie Laufer from Tribute caught up with Peter during a promotional stop in Toronto to talk about the amazing patience he and his crew had to have making a stop-motion animated film, and why he chose Hugh Grant to provide the voice for the Pirate Captain.
