IT author Stephen King discusses what is behind the character of Pennywise, and the entity itself. He goes on to talk about how, while the modern day iteration of the tale is different, he is satisfied that the story maintains his original idea that the entity of Pennywise takes the shape of whatever each child fears most. He then talks about how he feels fans will enjoy the movie and that he wrote the characters in a way that makes you root for their survival. Finally, Stephen discusses how impressed he was with Bill Skarsgård’s performance as Pennywise and how fans will like each character and truly experience the scares the film has to offer.
IT opens in theatres September 8, 2017.
