Tobey Maguire Interview

Tobey Maguire might be more used to playing a certain web-slinging superhero, but when offered the chance to star in The Great Gatsby, he just couldn’t refuse. Maguire plays narrator/writer Nick Carraway in Baz Luhrmann’s $120 million 3D screen adaptation of the F. Scott Fitzgerald classic novel. The film also stars Leonardo DiCaprio as Jay Gatsby, the mysterious self-made millionaire carrying on a doomed romance with Daisy Buchanan (Carey Mulligan).

Tribute.ca spoke with Tobey in New York about taking on such an iconic role, working with his extraordinary co-stars and helping to bring director Baz Luhrmann’s vision to the big screen.
