Tom Hiddleston describes Skull Island as a mysterious landmass, untouched by humankind in the new movie Kong: Skull Island. Tom reveals that he was a huge fan of the previous King Kong films, and that his first memory of Kong was the iconic scene at the top of the Empire State Building. When asked why people enjoy the King Kong films so much, Tom says that it is due to people’s childhood fascination with animals. He says Kong represents everything we do not understand about nature. Tom believes that the time in which the film is set is perfect, due to the revolutionary social, political and scientific changes that happened in the early 1970s.
