A toy store comes alive in Small Soldiers. Harmless action figures suddenly take on real-life military qualities and fight an all-out war in suburban Ohio.

It all starts when a toy company gets two of its designers to make the most action-oriented figures ever. They go overboard with their programming and they make the new toys just a little too real.

There's just no stopping the horrible Gorgonite monsters. They battle a crack unit of Commandos in a fight to the finish. The Commando Elite is led by a very capable Major Chip Hazard whose sole mission is to find and eliminate the ugly Gorgonites.

The world's most advanced toys prove a big menace to the quiet townspeople. Dragged into the war zone are a variety of ordinary people whose lives change pretty quickly when things on the front lines start to heat up.

Small Soldiers features live action mixed with super computer animation. They are done by the same people who created the dinosaurs in Jurassic Park and the aliens for Men in Black.

The voice of the Commando leader is provided by Tommy Lee Jones who was Two Face in Batman Forever.
