She may be pint-sized, but Lady Sovereign, the self-proclaimed "biggest midget in the game" isn't an emcee one soon forgets especially after receiving instant approval from rap legend Jay-Z early in her career.
At just 20, Lady Sovereign's -- AKA Louise Harmon -- sassy lyrics and energetic beats (think MIA meets Missy Elliot) have already won her a dedicated following in her native U.K.
Her delivery is fast and cheeky, and on her new disc Public Warning, she riffs on her life in North London, poking fun at herself and her career in the rap game. With highlights such as "9 to 5," "Love Me or Hate Me" and "Blah Blah," Lady Sovereign, who likes to be called "Sov," is out to make a name for herself this side of the pond.
Jumping on The O.C. musical bandwagon will surely help the fierce rapper. The show will include Sov's cover version of the Sex Pistols classic "Pretty Vacant" which will be included in the show's latest disc, which will also include "Love Me Or Hate Me" from Public Warning.
What's also cool about Sov is that she still manages her own MySpace page communicating directly with her 94,000-plus friends, who have logged some two million music listens.

These ex-At the Drive In group members, (half split to start The Mars Volta) continue to combine the quirky elements of indie rock. On their new disc, Threes, Sparta mix hard guitar riffs and anthemic choruses with, albeit surprisingly, uplifting melodies. Highlight tracks include, "Taking Back Control," "Weather the Storm," "Untreatable disease," and "Erase it Again."

No one can ever Adam Green is normal. With quirky, sartorical lyrics and a dramatic baritone voice, this ex-Moldy Peaches singer has stamped his own style of music. On his fourth solo disc, Jacket Full of Danger, Green almost completely nixes the anti-folk instrumentation with which he made his name, but includes a string quartet that adds cool instrumental sounds.

If you've never been able to get out to see a Foo Fighters concert, now you'll get the chance to experience what the band sounds like live. Finally, the Foos release their first-ever live disc. On Skin and Bones, the band includes songs spanning their entire career including "Everlong," "Times Like These," "My Hero," and "Best of You."
