Carvey settles suit
Dana Carvey has settled his $7.5 million suit against the surgeon
who operated on the wrong artery during open heart surgery two years ago. Terms of the settlement weren't disclosed, but Carvey says the money will be given to a handful of charities, with the bulk going toward heart research. Carvey has since recovered following angioplasty surgery.

Spitsville for Hugh and Liz

prettiest couple. After 13 years
together, it seems Hugh Grant and Elizabeth Hurley are calling it quits. According to publicists, the split was amicable, and involved no third parties. They also said the couple would continue to run Simian Films, the production company they co-founded together.

Halliwell in Therapy
Former Spice Girl Geri Halliwell announced that she's signed with September Films to star in Therapy, her first film since 1997's Spice World: The Movie and her first solo endeavor. Halliwell described the movie as "Working Girl meets Sex in the City meets Alfie."

Perry in crash
Hours after being released from the hospital after a two-week stay, Matthew Perry crashed his Porsche into the front porch of a Hollywood Hills residence. No charges are being filed, and Perry is discussing porch reparations with the owners who were, fortunately, not in the house at the time. On the upside, his new contract gives him $750,000 per episode of Friends.
