ups & downs
Hudson
pulls plug on flick
Kate Hudson enraged British film
producers after quitting a movie
production weeks before shooting was due to start. Mike Newell, who
directed Four Weddings And A Funeral, had been pursued by Hudson
for the part and she was apparently "deliriously happy" when she
was cast. The backers have now pulled out of the film and it looks like
it's going to be scrapped.
Lopez
ties the knot
Actress/singer Jennifer Lopez married back-up dancer turned choreographer
Cris Judd in a private ceremony in Calabasas, California. The
non-denominational wedding was attended by about 170 guests. Lopez, 31,
and Judd, 32, met while he was working as a backup dancer on her video.
She was dating Sean "Puffy" Combs at the time. Judd has since
been promoted.
Bleeth
busted
Former Baywatch babe Yasmine Bleeth was arrested for drug
possession and driving while intoxicated after she lost control of her
rental car in Michigan. Bleeth failed a field sobriety test and a
subsequent search allegedly turned up four syringes and a bottle
containing
liquid cocaine. She was held for 12 hours before being released, with
charges pending.
Foster
gives birth
Academy Award winner Jodie Foster gave birth to her second child - a baby
boy named Kit. The baby will be a younger brother for Foster's
three-year-old son, Charles. Foster, 38, has not revealed the name of
either child's father.
Driver
cancels wedding
Minnie Driver has called off her wedding to actor Josh Brolin. Driver and
Brolin got together on the set of Slow Burn, which did a quick
fade.
She got involved with Matt Damon on the set of Good Will Hunting
and John Cusack when they filmed Grosse Pointe Blank. Give the girl
a new movie and we'll probably see a new boyfriend in the picture.
