nother long-term Hollywood couple seems to have bitten the dust. For now anyway. Harrison Ford and his wife, screenwriter Melissa Matheson, have separated after 17 years of marriage. That's a lifetime by Hollywood standards. And The National Enquirer apparently caught the newly separated Ford sipping champagne with The Practice's gal about town Lara Flynn Boyle.

Jerry Seinfeld and his wife Jessica Sklar are the new parents of a baby girl who they've named Sascha. Seinfeld, 46, and Sklar, 29, were married in December and it's the first child for both.

Like daughter, like mother. After Kate Hudson received rave reviews as a groupie in Almost Famous, guess what mom Goldie Hawn is playing in her next flick. Goldie will star with Susan Sarandon in the comedy The Banger Sisters about two women, now in their fifties, who were once groupies.

Goldie plays a character who actually doesn't regret a thing, but Susan is an uptight socialite who'd rather not discuss her young and foolish escapades.

For years, Meg Ryan has been searching out projects that are a little less of the squeaky clean variety and a little closer to her own personality. So what are we to make of this? Meg is rumored to be up for the lead in the
story of porn star Linda Lovelace (Deep Throat). Now we doubt that the movie would be explicit in any way, but a departure for Meg? You bet.

We hear that Just Shoot Me star David Spade recently
met Calista Flockhart at an L.A. eatery, which is a good sign, and fell madly in love, promptly sending her flowers and asking her out. David likes his women on the slight side - he has also dated Lara Flynn Boyle. But last we heard, Flockhart was being seen out and about in a very friendly manner with none other than Gary Shandling, who was a hit hosting the recent Emmy's.

Sarah Jessica Parker  Sarah Jessica Parker, who of course stars in the red-hot Sex And The City, will star in the romantic comedy Life Without Dick, about a young woman who falls in love with the hitman who is hired to kill her boyfriend. You know, your typical boy-meets-girl, girl-loses-interest-in-boy, boy-plots-revenge-and-hires-hitman, girl-falls-for-hitman romance.

Michael J. Fox, Elizabeth Hurley, Tim Robbins and George Wendt were among the celebs who played a benefit hockey game in Boston recently to raise money for the families of six firefighters killed last year in a warehouse fire. The Hollywood Hockey Team played the Boston Bruins Alumni, starring Bobby Orr. The Bruins won, 15-14. Michael J. Fox received a standing ovation during his brief on-ice shifts. Elizabeth Hurley served as an assistant coach. Liz admitted that her knowledge of the game was a little iffy since she'd never ever seen a hockey game before. (Nor does she have any interest in joining the players' union.)

Almost Famous star Kate Hudson is about to become very famous. She has signed on for the picture that could catapult her to the A-list of stars. She'll co-star with The Patriot hunk Heath Ledger and American Beauty breakout actor Wes Bentley in the wartime drama Four Feathers.

John Travolta  John Travolta seems like a pretty bright guy, but you gotta wonder about him after he announced he wants to make a sequel to the less than stellar performer Battlefield Earth. John insists, however, that the film is now becoming a cult fave. The sequel would be the next part of the L. Ron Hubbard sci-fi tome which the original was taken from.

Russell Crowe is not only crowing about his recent shoulder surgery - he's showing pictures. You get a complete blow-by-blow description of his painful arthroscopic reconstruction, plus photographs with captions from Crowe himself. He hurt the shoulder rehearsing for the Jodie John CusackFoster movie Flora Plum, which has since been scrapped, thanks partly to Crowe having to withdraw from the flick after the injury.

John Cusack and Catherine Zeta-Jones will star in the comedy America's Sweethearts, about a Hollywood couple whose relationship has fallen apart. However, to fans, they appear to be as happy as ever, especially when they star in a movie together. The fun begins when they have to promote the movie.
