Captain Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp) is doomed to an afterlife of eternal servitude and damnation if he can't find his way out of a debt to the legendary Davey Jones, ruler of the ocean depths and captain of the ghostly Flying Dutchman.
While trying to work his way out of this problem, Sparrow throws a wrench into the wedding plans of Will Turner (Orlando Bloom) and Elizabeth Swann (Keira Knightley). The young couple comes to his aid, joining him on the high seas.
