American History X
- July 1, 1998
A fireman is murdered by a black gang member -- an event which begins this tale about the consequences of prejudice as a family is torn apart by hate. The fireman's death triggers a violent rage in his eldest son (Norton), a skinhead who retaliates by forming a white supremacist gang at his high school. It soon becomes apparent to him that this is not the best way to lead a life, so he begins the struggle to reform himself and save his younger brother (Furlong) from a life of violence, bigotry and racism.
