Belle (Bella Thorne), her younger sister and comatose twin brother James (Cameron Monaghan) move into a new house with their single mother Joan (Jennifer Jason Leigh). The move is motivated by an effort to save money and help pay for James' healthcare.

However, strange events begin to transpire in the house, including James' miraculous recovery. Belle starts to suspect her mother may not be disclosing the full details of the home. As she finds out, it's the infamous Amityville house where a mass murder was committed years ago.

  • 1 star "It blew."
  • 3 stars "Holy haunted house Batman! One could take this movie as a standalone horror as well as the history of Amityville isn't touched on a whole lot. I thought it was semi-clever to use the the point of conflict that they did. Good flow, good ending, nice buns. Although Ms. Thorne is a wacky spaced out cowgirl in real life, she handles her role very well. It was good enough to keep my attention so it gets a 3."
