In the future where technology has left all privacy obsolete, Sal Frieland (Clive Owen) is a police detective. Everyone's lives are transparent, traceable, and recorded by the authorities. This makes it almost impossible for crime to exist.

But while working on solving a series of murders, Frieland comes across a young woman (Amanda Seyfried) with no identity and no history, who is invisible to the cops. He discovers she not only has the capability of hacking into his mind and creating things that aren't there, but she can also erase crimes — and all trace of her existence. Canadian Connection  Canadian Connection: Filmed in Toronto, Ontario. Colm Feore, who plays Detective Charles Gattis, was raised in Canada and is a regular at the Stratford Festival. • 3 stars "This is definitely worth your time. Clive Owen easily shows his acting skills as he takes on the detective lead. I cant think of a better actor to cast in this role. Its still difficult to associate Amanda Seyfried as any kind of villainess but I like what she does here in her own seductive ways. She has a built-in gentleness that is hard to mask with toughness. That being said she stands on her own merits and has earned the right to expand her film repertoire beyond the pretty face in film. A solid movie with a view into our not too distant future. Sequel?"
  • 4 stars "Wow I'm surprised there was only 1 rating at 1 star.... I actually thought the movie was super interesting... scarey considering the way our world is rushing so quickly into the future (driverless cars, extensive DNA profiling etc. etc. NOT to mention the locations of where this was filmed/spliced/green screen etc. here I thought so many places were pieced together from Vancouver... Vancouver Hotel, Gastown, the church on Georgia street, Terminal City Club?!?! Robson Street etc. etc. If you go into it knowing it's "the future" I personally think you'll enjoy the film :) Cutie K in Van"
