Synopsis

Austria, 1900: young Fritz Lang can't help but be influenced by the growing anti-semitism all around him, but discovers with horrors the secret behind his parents' marriage. United States, 1920: Orson Welles, five years of age, is deprived of sleep in order to take care of his sick mother.

France, the same year: On a disastrous school photograph day, Jacques Tati takes advantage by exploring the building. France, 1906: small Jean Renoir, on holiday to the countryside, makes friends with a young North African living in France. England, 1910: Alfred Hitchcock is about to discover the perils of puberty at the hands of his mother.

Sweden, 1926: Ingmar Bergman is unhappy about the birth of his sister and after consulting with his brother, decides to get rid of the baby.
