Coconut Hero

Mike (Alex Ozerov), 16, hates his life and spends his time trying to find a way to kill himself. He writes his obituary and sends it to the paper, in addition to building his own coffin. He tries to shoot himself in the head but fails, and when he goes back to school with his head bandaged, he's a target for bullies.

The one bright bit of news for Mike is when the doctor tells him his suicide attempt has caused a brain tumor. He keeps the news quiet in order to avoid an operation that could save his life.

That is, until he meets a new girl in town - Miranda - and falls in love for the first time.
