Based on the popular television show of the same name, seven kids (Tai, Izzy, Sora, Matt,
Joe, Mimi and T.K.) from a summer camp are transported into the DigiWorld. They are soon befriended
by a number of Digimon monsters.
In this film, a powerful new Digimon hatches and begins to consume data from the internet. It soon digivolves into its mega form, Diabormon, taking over worldwide communications and preparing to launch missiles aimed at Japan.
As if things couldn't get any worse, the original DigiDestined kids are kidnapped by a Digimon, and, with time running out, it is up to the combined efforts of a worldwide network of kids, plus new mega-hero Digimon named Omnimon, to stand in the way of global disaster.
