Experimental yodeling?! Out of a project to document the traditional music of the Alps has grown this delightful film that both embraces tradition and turns it on its head. Like other music documentaries such as Touch the Sound, this utterly entrancing film is as lovely to look at as it is to listen to.
Both breathtakingly wild and chocolate-box Alpine vistas are interspersed with home movies, vintage footage of village ceremonies, and performances from highly unusual musicians (including Tuvian throat singers) giving voice to every possible permutation of human expression.
