Season two returns with the same group of 20-something girls and a whole new set of problems. Hannah and Adam cross each other’s paths once again when he gets in an accident, and he tries to win her back. Marnie is without a home or job, and every small defeat adds more pressure on her. Hannah has a new roommate Elijah, who comes with his own load of baggage. Jessa returns from her honeymoon and seems to be in marital bliss, while Hannah’s career slowly starts to work in her favor after she’s assigned some freelance work. Shoshanna and Ray’s fling from the first season is rekindled, and he gives her an unexpected confession.
Hannah’s career is on the rise, but she suffers from writer’s block and finds it hard to come up with material for her newest endeavor. Hannah and Jessa take a trip to meet her estranged father, and surprising events ensue. Marnie’s ex Charlie is enjoying the high of a successful career, which inspires her to pursue her own dreams. The characters face ups and downs, and the season ends with Hannah facing a lawsuit.
