During a visit to the Gaspesian long-term care center where his father Éverard resides, Carl Leblanc finds that this simple man, who never left his beloved peninsula, seems to be quietly dying.

Before it’s too late, the filmmaker begins to tell the story of Éverard’s existence in the last century, as well as the way in which he experienced the various social upheavals that gradually forged modern Quebec.
