Synopsis

LUCKY follows the spiritual journey of a 90-year-old atheist and the quirky characters that inhabit his off the map desert town.

Having out lived and out smoked all of his contemporaries, the fiercely independent Lucky finds himself at the precipice of life, thrust into a journey of self exploration, leading towards that which is so often unattainable: enlightenment.

Acclaimed character actor John Carroll Lynch's directorial debut, "Lucky", is at once a love letter to the life and career of Harry Dean Stanton as well as a meditation on mortality, loneliness, spirituality, and human connection.

  • 5 stars "Lucky represents an innate unanswered perspective that is in all of us at some level. I thoroughly loved the honesty and realism of Harry Dean Stanton's character, it touched me on a deep level, burned in my memory for days to come. If I could mail him an Oscar I would, but I suspect he is enjoying a greater reward today, rest in peace Harry Dean Stanton who left us Sept 15/2017 at 91 years, this was your film all the way through and is a testimony to a timeless art form that you dedicated yourself too. ..Bravo my friend."
