Synopsis

When their nanny quits, Mr. and Mrs. Banks (David Tomlinson, Glynis Johns) advertise for a new one for their children, Jane (Karen Dotric) and Michael (Matthew Garber). On the day they're holding interviews, the potential nanny candidates are blown away as Mary Poppins (Julie Andrews) flies out of the windy London skies using just an umbrella.

She gets the job immediately and with the help of a carefree chimney sweep named Bert (Dick Van Dyke), the spirited nanny turns every chore into a game and takes the children on animated adventures.

Based on the Mary Poppins books by author P.L. Travers.
