Montparnasse Bienvenue

Dumped by her boyfriend Joachim when they return from a 10-year stay in Brazil, Paula, an immature and emotionally unstable 30-year-old woman, finds herself destitute in Paris without a place to live, although she first steals his cat. With nothing but her clothing and the cat, her situation looks bleak until she runs into a woman named Yuki.

Yuki mistakes her for an old school friend and Paula plays along. With Yuki’s help, Paula gets two jobs, grows more confident and begins to get over Joachim.
