Women's liberation in India is examined as two very different groups of women are followed, showing the contrasting activities of their daily lives. In Bombay, one group is made up of the final 20 candidates who are vying for the Miss India 2009 crown, while the other group consists of girls training in an intensive bootcamp for a militant wing of Hindu extremists fighting against the Westernization of India. Both groups are looking for empowerment but are taking widely different measures to achieve it.
