Theatre Girls

The Theatre Girls Club in Soho, London, is a retirement home for a group of elderly and/or impoverished women. Their lives are dominated by the home's feisty cook. One old lady with a posh accent is a terminal alcoholic, another bleak-looking younger woman is a registered drug addict.

This documentary exploration of these women's lives does not glamorize them for a single instant.
