Canada’s biggest award show was party rocking with LMFAO co-hosting the annual 2012 MuchMusic Video Awards. The lively duo set the stage on fire performing their smash hits Champagne Showers, Sorry for Party Rocking and Sexy and I Know It. Justin Bieber represented Canada, taking two awards home last night, but the big surprise was new artist Carly Rae Jepsen (pictured at left with Justin and his little brother), who stole the show with her powerful vocals and chart-topping smash Call Me Maybe. The song won her three awards for Video of the Year, Most Watched Video and UR FAVE Video of the Year. Other Canadian artists at the ceremony included Hedley, Marianas Trench, Drake, Nelly Furtado, The Sheepdogs and Kreesha Turner along with other big names in the music industry, to show their love for Canada with electrifying performances and dazzling outfits. Highlights were Justin and girlfriend Selena Gomez walking the red carpet, thereby dispelling breakup rumors, Flo Rida performing with Carly Rae, Katy Perry performing her new single Wide Awake while transforming into a majestic butterfly and Kelly Clarkson, who got Toronto up on their feet. ~Graeme Mollison
