Sandy Stewart, Director: Canadian Picture Pioneers, President: Tribute Entertainment Media Group announced the winners of the Canadian Picture Pioneers Scholarships yesterday, Wednesday, November 13, 2013, during the Canadian Picture Pioneers Awards reception at The Eglinton Grand in Toronto. Over the past ten years, 119 young people have received a total of over $155,500 in scholarships from The Canadian Picture Pioneers Scholarship Fund. This year, $25,000 in scholarships will be awarded to 15 recipients. Stewart was met with great applause when she announced, “John Pedersen and the B.C. Association have pledged to raise an additional $5,000 for the scholarships over the next year.” Stewart says: “We wish these students all the success they dream of and hope these scholarships help the recipients to achieve their goals in life.” The 2013 Canadian Picture Pioneers Award winners are (pending final validation):
