The cast of Succession

The 2022 Emmy nominations were announced live this morning. HBO original series Succession topped the list with 25 nominations. Others include Netflix’s hit show Squid Game, Hulu’s comedy crime series Only Murders in the Building, and the final season of Netflix’s Ozark.

Zendaya scored three Emmy nominations for her work on the second season of Euphoria. Additional to her nomination for Best Actress in a Drama Series, a category she previously won, she is also nominated twice in the Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics category for both “Elliot’s Song,” and “I’m Tired,” which were heard on the series.

Despite not yet having a host, the 74th Primetime Emmy Awards are set to air on NBC on Monday, September 12 at 8 p.m. and will be available to stream live on Peacock.

Isn’t it about time for these tv channels to all become non-specialty channels? Let’s put them in line with shows like PBS, ABC, NBS, CBC, etc. Not everyone can afford to watch these specialty channels so have no idea what these shows are about. You lose a lot of viewers to these awards shows when people don’t even know the shows.
