My favourite Christmas food has to be Plum Duff, or the traditional Christmas pudding I remember as a child. Various articles were stirred into the pudding, a small white shirt button, a tiny baby doll, sixpences or threepenny bits, and the piece de resistance, one half-crown, (which was a lot of money back then, especially for a child.) Each item was wrapped tightly in greaseproof paper, and you had to break up the pudding so there was no danger of swallowing a sixpence, for example, which was a small silver-coloured coin, much like our 10 cent piece. Plum duff for me !!!!
