The 16-foot long fibreglass shark that was used to promote Rob Stewart‘s award-winning 2007 film Sharkwater at various functions, including film festivals and movie premieres, is up for auction at eBay. Rob’s willing to part with this valuable piece of movie memorabilia to order raise funds for his new environmental-themed film, Rise Again. Check it out by clicking on this link, which will lead you straight to the auction.
yup, I’ll just pick this up and put it on the dashboard….or maybe over the fireplace….or maybe at the front door when the mom-in-law comes to call…
haha, love the mom-in-law comment! Think I’ll get one too!
REALLY funny, Jo-Anne!!!!! I’ll copy your idea too only I need it for my nosy neighbour!
I’d recommend Sharkwater to anyone. This documentary is a real eye-opener into the (illegal?) shark-fin trade industry (driven by asians), and the importance of healthy shark populations in the ocean’s waters.
I actually own Sharkwater, demigod, and have lent to many to watch as well, excellent…
I have it too Jo ..it sickens me to see the irresponsible, unregulated, inhumane fishing of sharks by so many countries to supply the insatiable asian market.
I was not expecting the movie to be as in depth as it was and found myself totally disgusted with the manner in which these people slaughtered the sharks, and was quite disturbed by the threats Stewart and his crew were exposed to…the corruptness was detailed so well in this film
»Aaah! 🙂
