I would have bet money that Moneyball would finish much stronger than any other new realeases. To get beat by an 18 year old movie is a little tough to take but I guess a new generation is a new audience an explains the success.

This trend started a while ago with re-releases. Now instead of remaking movies (like I said in older comments on articles), this movie is one you cannot remake. So, 3D it and re-release and bam, a new generation will make it a must-see movie. Way to go Disney cashcow (or cash lion in this case).
Really Shocking is Killer Elite losing to a dolphin.
