Adam Lambert shocked to be on People’s bachelor list

When Access Hollywood‘s Nancy O’Dell told American Idol runner up Adam Lambert that he was No. 4 on People‘s Summer’s Hottest Bachelor List, he was taken aback. “Am I really?” he asked incredulously. “I’m not hot!” However, many who watched this season’s American Idol competition will agree that he most definitely is. Lambert recently revealed to Rolling Stone that he’s gay, confirming the speculation about his sexuality. In People, he’s quoted as saying, “The biggest risk I’ve ever taken is going on American Idol and trying to be myself.” The cover boy for the issue and listed at No. 1 is Gossip Girl‘s Chace Crawford, much to the disappointment of Twilight fans. Their favorite, Robert Pattinson, is listed at No. 10, though his brother in the movies, Kellan Lutz, tied for No. 5. Pattinson, who’s currently trying to avoid being attacked by fans in NYC while filming Remember Me, told EW.com, “It’s a really emotional experience when people are screaming at you all the time. When I was in Italy, all these people started screaming in this bookshop. Your immediate reaction is you feel like you’re going to start crying. It’s so not how I thought I would react… It’s overwhelming.” At any rate, People must not be going by the popular vote — when Tribute ran a poll two weeks ago asking who was the hottest male star under 30, Pattinson pulled in 400 votes to Crawford’s 71.
