Amanda Bynes: I have an eating disorder

Amanda Bynes Amanda Bynes is suffering from an eating disorder. The 27-year-old star - who recently refused to move back to Los Angeles from New York so her family can offer her more support - took to Twitter to reveal the condition is making it hard for her to remain in a good shape. She tweeted: "I have an eating disorder so I have a hard time staying thin." The Easy A actress recently described herself as "looking pudgy" and in February she announced plans to try to shed 21 pounds because she was unhappy with her size. The brunette star - who is 5'7" - explained: "I'm 121lbs - my goal is 100lbs. I gain weight quickly so I need to work out constantly." At her height, 121 lbs is towards the lower end of the BMI scale - to be healthy, she needs to be at least 118 lbs. At 100 lbs, she would be considered drastically underweight and probably anorexic. Amanda's eating disorder revelation comes after she was involved in a series of legal troubles earlier this year.

She needs to eat. Lack of nutrition would explain a lot of her behaviour in the past year. She’s got a round face, but she’s always been skinny, and the roundness will disappear in her thirties. Probably people have been telling her she’s fat – that’s what killed Karen Carpenter, do we need any more talented women dying from anorexia because some people with big fat mouths think everyone needs to be skeletal?

She tweeted this the other day. With her behaviour and current state of mind I felt like it was said out of context and it was something she thought of and just spilled it out. She looks healthy to me. She needs to get her life together.

Jim unless you were being sarcastic, it sounds like you don’t have a clue about diet and nutrition either.

First of all, attention wh*re. Second of all, no one should abide by that BMI Index crap. 5’7″ and it says she needs to be 118 lbs sounds like that’s on the brink of being anorexic. Bull, total bull.

Why do all these young stars think they have to be a size 0 to look good?
All that will happen is hair loss, organ failure and ultimately death!

Come on ladies look at the stars of the 1940’s and 1950’s, curvy, sexy and lovely and certainly not everyone was 100 lbs. !!!
