Ben WoolfAmerican Horror Story actor Ben Woolf has died.

The 34-year-old star passed away at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles yesterday having suffered a stroke after sustaining serious injuries when he was hit by a car in Hollywood last week, according to TMZ.

The 4’4″ actor, who played Meep in the most recent series of the FX series American Horror Story: Freak Show, was illegally crossing Hollywood Boulevard near Gramercy Place last Thursday when he was hit by the SUV.

Los Angeles Police Department’s Sergeant Benjamin Zucker told the New York Post newspaper’s PageSix: ”Unfortunately, because of his height, he came into contact with the Ford Escape’s rear-view mirror, causing a serious head injury.”

The driver of the vehicle will reportedly not be charged with any traffic violations or other offences as Woolf was jaywalking at the time of the incident.

The actor’s family – who are planning a memorial service for him in Santa Barbara next week – told TMZ: ”We have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support from all over the world for our beloved Ben. He touched so many hearts in his 34 years.”
