American Idol contestant Scott MacIntyre, who was voted off the show several weeks ago, told Access Hollywood that after his last show, Paula Abdul took him aside and told him: “I have a wonderful surprise for you in a couple of weeks.” MacIntyre, who’s visually challenged, found out what his surprise was on Friday — a guide dog from Guide Dogs of America. Scott took walks with two of the organization’s Labrador retrievers on Friday, but as Paula explained during a press conference, Scott will first need to go through a 28-day training process before finding a dog that’s perfect for him. He’s currently preparing for the American Idol tour, so after it ends on September 15, he’ll enter the program and will be matched up with a dog. Paula joked, “We have to find a dog who really likes loud music and big audiences.”

Very nice, Paula!
Now maybe they will stop making fun of her in some of the tabloids. What a great performance coming from her on the Idol show. Paula still has it.
This was a very nice gesture from Paula but in my opinion Mary, Paula never “had it” to begin with.
