American Sniper takes out competition for third week

AmericanSniperFor the third week in a row, American Sniper starring Bradley Cooper kept its position in the top spot at the weekend box office. This time around the film earned over $38 million – more than the following four movies combined – and holds a 4.2 star rating from Tribute.ca readers.

Moving up one spot to second place was Paddington, bringing in $8.5 million. The family film holds a 4.4 star rating from Tribute.ca readers.

Making its debut in third place we have the found footage flick Project Almanac with a modest $8.5 million. This thriller has a 3 star rating with readers on Tribute.ca.

Also new to the charts is Black or White, bringing in a little over $6 million in limited release. Despite its modest debut, the drama, starring Kevin Costner, currently holds a 5 star rating from Tribute.ca readers.

Dropping three spots to fifth place was Jennifer Lopez‘s The Boy Next Door. The thriller earned $6 million in its second week and has a 4.5 star rating from Tribute.ca readers. ~Sandra D. Sukraj
