Amy Winehouse gives up Bond song

Recording the newest theme song for the latest James Bond flick, Quantum of Solace, would seem like a dream opportunity for any singer, but apparently for Amy Winehouse this opportunity is not worth giving up her wild ways for. According to her producer, Mark Ronson, the singer is just “not ready to work.” Ronson, who catapulted Winehouse’s status with her Grammy-Award winning album, Back to Black, told Sky News that they started work on the song together, but it would take “some miracle of science” to complete it as the singer “not ready to record any music.” Is it because of “artistic differences?” Or because the English singer/songwriter is too wrapped up in drugs, her jailed husband, and the law? An official statement has been requested of her U.S. rep—but either way the singer, who’s really only had one hit song, needs to get her career and life back on track.
