Angelina Jolie has advised against people adopting orphans from Haiti. The Hollywood star has three adopted children with her partner Brad Pitt and it was recently claimed the couple had considered opening their home to a child left parentless after the devastating earthquake in the Caribbean country. Angelina visited Haiti for her role as a UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador and as she visited survivors of the natural disaster she urged against hasty adoptions. “New adoptions should definitely not be encouraged as an immediate response to the emergency. Haiti had many trafficking problems before the earthquake and now must keep a very close watch on the children,” she said. “I would encourage as much support as possible to groups like SOS and UNICEF providing care for children in country.”
