Angelina Jolie not an Obama fan

By Alexandra Heilbron on November 26, 2009 | 50 Comments

Contrary to what many Americans believe, Angelina Jolie is not a fan of President Obama. According to Us magazine, Obama doesn’t have Jolie’s support. A source close to the actress and Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations, stated, “She hates him. She’s into education and rehabilitation and thinks Obama is all about welfare and handouts. She thinks Obama is really a socialist in disguise.” It seems Jolie’s political opinion has stirred up tension with partner Brad Pitt, who is a staunch admirer of the president, and even showed up alone at a Chicago party thrown for Obama during the 2008 election. However, the two are on the same page when it comes to helping people in need. The Hollywood Reporter recently revealed that celebrity couple donated over $6.8 million to charity in 2008, which is double what they gave through the Jolie-Pitt Foundation in 2007. ~BUM interactif

If this report is true …… then it seems obvious that Angelina does not know the essence of the “Real” man Barack Obama. Maybe she is drinking the venom of the crazy, deadly, dangerous anti-science RIGHT WING FEARMONGERS.

I admired her for her humanitarian work…..I am no longer a fan.

  2. mandee • November 26, 2009 @ 3:23 PM

how can you not be a fan of someone just because she “hates” or dislikes someone else? seriously, thats a pretty pathetic reason to decide YOU dont like someone. do all of your friends have respect for or like everyone they meet? clearly, youre no better than you think angelina is based on the fact youre willing to dislike her or “no longer” be a “fan” because SHE doesnt LIKE someone. i could understand if it was you she didnt like.

also, who really LIKES obama anyway? i dont follow what goes on in the news or in politics, but from what i heard, i dont like him either!

  3. tributegirl • November 26, 2009 @ 6:48 PM

“Angelina does not know the essence of the Real man Barack Obama.”

    And you do?

  4. Mary • November 26, 2009 @ 7:43 PM

Who the hell really cares. We have our own politics and country to worry about let the U.S.A. worry about their likes and dislikes. Whether she likes Obama or not she’s entitled to her opinion and frankly I don’t give a damn.

  5. Nancy • November 26, 2009 @ 8:05 PM

She’s entitled to her opinion. She’s allowed to think for herself and like or dislike whomever she wants. Us women are free…we’re “allowed” to do that now, LOL.

  6. Biff • November 26, 2009 @ 8:51 PM

    heh Nance

Us are free, are us? Us needs an education. 🙂

  7. Nancy • November 26, 2009 @ 9:24 PM

“heh” Biff, I said “Us women”…speaking about myself and all other women.

Who needs the education? LOL. I’m very well educated, thanks.

  8. Carol • November 26, 2009 @ 10:19 PM

Good for her…I’m tired of people saying he’s great and everyone is afraid to say anything negative. If she doesn’t like him she should be free to say so, without worry of losing her fans. I am not an “Obama” fan, nor a huge Angelina fan either but for once I think Angelina has her head on straight.

  9. mandee • November 26, 2009 @ 10:29 PM

Nancy on November 26, 2009 8:05 PM lmao haha!

  10. anonymous2 • November 27, 2009 @ 12:39 AM

Probably mad Brad and her didn’t get invite to the state dinner.

  11. Force Factor • November 27, 2009 @ 2:38 AM

Every one has a different opinion over obama .If Angelina Jolie does not barack obama as a president of America. Its fine . But for barack obama is a good politician and great person.

  12. Silver • November 27, 2009 @ 9:33 AM

That’s okay, Biff. WE know what you mean.

  13. sukitash • November 27, 2009 @ 10:00 AM

Well if Jolie is not a fan of obama and I don’t believe that she is so stupid that she would publicly come out with a comment like that. This after all is a freedom of speech country and whether she likes him or not well that’s her business but as an actress and a public figure this would be a stupid thing to say.

  14. gerry • November 27, 2009 @ 11:30 AM

I really don’t think Obama will lose sleep over this drivel. Obama certainly is not a socialist in disguise. He inherited a severe crapstorm that the previous President left behind. YEAH, thanks a ton W.!!!!! I think Jolie should worry about her own marriage before she tries to solve the world’s problems!

  15. gerry • November 27, 2009 @ 11:36 AM

Hey Nancy, I don’t think Biff was dissing the fact that women have the right to their own opinion. I think that he was pointing out that you should have used, “We women” instead of “Us women”. It’s just better grammar.

  16. mandee • November 27, 2009 @ 11:58 AM

funny you 2 think its ok to judge someone based on their home life but dont think its ok for angelina to judge obama on what she has saw with her own 2 eyes. i wonder what made you 2 (gerry and sukitash) such bitter people. i feel sorry for the both of you.

  17. Kelly • November 27, 2009 @ 4:34 PM

Mandee, I don’t think it’s very nice for you to say that you feel sorry for people. Maybe they are having fun posting their opinions about the topic at hand, and not making personal attacks on the real lives and worlds of other people posting. It’s a little disrespectful. Unless you were looking to call into question your own character, education and flawless record. Your comment reaks of superiority, and I don’t think it’s very nice. I don’t feel bad for gerry and sukitash. I think they have their own lives and opinions, not all of which are necessarily represented here, for all to judge conclusively.

  18. Kelly • November 27, 2009 @ 4:45 PM

more on topic, it would be highly irresponsible for Angelina or her brand to release the word ‘hate’ as the article (and it’s source) have used so liberally. I welcome her and everyone to their political opinions and charitable contributions, but lets try to stay in the adult world, and not sling too much mud.

On the other hand, maybe she heard Obama thought she was a no good cheat, and decided to make her comeback known before he got his word out… also a classy move 😛

  19. Nancy • November 27, 2009 @ 5:27 PM

gerry, Nov. 27, 11:36 AM: I know that is what Biff meant!! What I’m saying, is that if Biff has nothing better to do than to sit online and pick on one little word, maybe Biff should get a life! LMAO!

  20. mandee • November 27, 2009 @ 8:13 PM

Kelly on November 27, 2009 4:34 PM “not making personal attacks on the real lives and worlds of other people” i FULLY understand what youre trying to say. its NOT ok for me to personally attack someone else that i do not PERSONALLY know by stating that i feel sorry for them and their bitterness, but it IS ok for someone to personally attack a celebrity that they do not PERSONALLY know by dragging their home life in to whether or not they like obama? see the double standard here? exactly why i made the post i made, i knew SOMEONE would feel the need to defend those 2 when they were doing the exact same thing to angelina as i was doing to them. gerry and sukitash dont mean any more or less to me than angelina means to them. also, “hate” is an adult word because only adults know how strong the word is. i believe she used it appropriately.

  21. quinn • November 27, 2009 @ 11:46 PM

like him or not he is the president, and will be for the next four years.

  22. Fraydeecat • November 28, 2009 @ 2:09 AM

Me not like Obama too. And me not like Angelina. But just like Mandee say: “but dont think its ok for angelina to judge obama on what she has saw with her own 2 eyes.” Mandee say “HAS SAW” (and not “has seen” and just like Mandee, me need education too. Us not perfect too.

  23. charmaigne • November 28, 2009 @ 2:17 AM

Folks, not to be rude or disrespect any of the opinions stated here, but the report said and I repeat the quote here that “A source close to the actress and Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations, stated, She hates him. Shes into education and rehabilitation and thinks Obama is all about welfare and handouts. She thinks Obama is really a socialist in disguise. Firstly, the source was not named and that leads me to believe that we have to think that this may be a discussion that could have been taken out of context. Secondly, has anyone see Obama’s charitable contributions to organizations that assist the underpriviledged in or out of the United States in the last ten years? If yes, do they add up to anywhere near the contributions this young actress has given to humanity in general? It seems to me that the idea of ‘teaching someone to fish as opposed to just giving them a fish to eat, as the old adage goes, would go a long way to bettering the lot of many many people in and out of the States. Just a thought. Peace and love people!!

  24. Nancy • November 28, 2009 @ 2:33 AM

Hahahahahaha. OMFG! That’s hilarious! Or, is it hillaryus?

  25. charmaigne • November 28, 2009 @ 4:05 AM

Nancy, I must have been reading a different page to you because, I didn’t read anything about Hillary commenting on this or any other newsworthy item today.

What are you laughing about? Do you know?

  26. Craig H • November 28, 2009 @ 9:25 AM

Ever her father knows what a terminal flake Jolie is. A putdown from her is like a compliment from someone else! Poor Brad, he needs to get his taste in women checked out!

  27. mandee • November 28, 2009 @ 4:02 PM

Fraydeecat on November 28, 2009 2:09 AM no need to be such a jerk just because i wrote saw instead of seen. its the internet, i dont care about grammar or punctuation on something so irrelevant.

  28. Nancy • November 28, 2009 @ 5:19 PM

Charmaigne, of course I KNOW what I was laughing about! When I made that “hillaryus” comment, it was to Fraydeecat, and your comment at 2:17 AM was NOT there. Your comment must have been awaiting moderation and then added in later this morning. I was laughing at what Fraydeecat said because someone attacked one word that I used, being “Us” and told me to get an education. That is why I misspelled “hillaryus” and found it quite amusing because it has my original ‘us’ on the end of it! LOL. This is for Mandee too….Fraydeecat wasn’t being rude to you (in my opinion), he/she was just pointing out that no one is perfect, that we all make mistakes. He/she was basically making fun of Biff.

  29. Nessa • November 28, 2009 @ 11:17 PM

Us magazine? Really? Us magazine is as bad as the enquirer. You can’t believe anything they print. And “a close friend of Jolie’s” Please! It’s so fake. If she felt that way, she would have said it herself.

  30. Steve • November 28, 2009 @ 11:51 PM

Nancy must be really, really fat!

    Cake Nancy?

  31. Nancy • November 29, 2009 @ 1:03 AM

As if, Steve! Why would I be “really, really fat!”?

For those who are ‘overweight’ and reading this, hold your head up high and be thankful you’re not a retard like Steve! LMFAO! 😛

  32. likeit1 • November 29, 2009 @ 1:26 AM

Who is the Jolie person? I have not heard about her.

  33. tributegirl • November 29, 2009 @ 3:28 PM

Nancy must be fat? What the heck? Where did that come from?

  34. Debrah • November 29, 2009 @ 3:42 PM

So Mandee doesn’t like Obama based on what she’s heard of him, but she doesn’t pay any attention to politics or follow what he’s doing or not doing. So how does Mandee formulate an opinion? Only by listening to people who don’t like him? Now there’s a rational way to formulate an opinion.

  35. Phil • November 29, 2009 @ 4:08 PM

just remember that “sources close to whomever” is just a nice way of saying the writer got a friend to say something that can’t be substantiated by fact. until I actually heard Angelina say that, I wouldn’t put too much credibility to this article.

  36. 9708790 • November 29, 2009 @ 7:57 PM

This site seems to have a serious case of grammar police. lol

  37. Tayderhead • November 29, 2009 @ 10:40 PM

Who is this Jolie person????? Why…..Jolie Old Saint Nick of course!! :):)

  38. mandee • November 30, 2009 @ 12:14 AM

Debrah on November 29, 2009 3:42 PM talking about me when you dont know me and you only know what i feel like posting doesnt make you any better of a person. next time you want to try a personal attack on someone, feel free to choose SOMEONE ELSE you dont know.

  39. Rita • November 30, 2009 @ 4:57 AM

“Your comment reaks of superiority, and I dont think its very nice. I dont feel bad for gerry and sukitash.”

I feel Mandee was just stating Her opinion and in NO Way did I think that she meaning she was superior to anyone else, when I was reading her article. How did you Kelly think she was saying that when very clearly she was not. Not once did I even think she coming across like that. When someone Thinks they are superior then YOU WILL KNOW IT BY their action/behavior toward you. They will pick on you/me or a few people around them but they will Never pick on everyone around them. I say that; by experience.

  40. mandee • November 30, 2009 @ 9:02 AM

thanks 😀 and lmao im curious if your “but they will Never pick on everyone around them.” was implying i pick on everyone 😛 man i have such a headache, too early in the am for me ! hope everyones having a great day.

  41. s • December 2, 2009 @ 12:42 AM

goverment is goverment no mater what they promise they will never truely fulfill it to the full.they always stop half way or if they think it is costing to much money. i mean look at the way they waist taxes paying guys who are supposed to pave roads all i ever see is they standing around smoking.

  42. charmaigne • December 6, 2009 @ 2:19 AM

Thanks for the clarification Nancy, my apologies. On a more another subject, I truly hope that these opinions we are all sharing will become less “personal” and more substantive – while we are attacking each other for non issues, the real issues get lost…..all your opinions count especially when you go to the voting booth……just a thought.

  43. Nancy • December 6, 2009 @ 1:03 PM

I NEVER go to the “voting booth” and don’t plan to start now! Doesn’t matter WHO you vote for…yes, there may be change between them but, certainly NOT for the better. Voting is a waste of my time, gasoline and wear and tear on my vehicle, paper, ink and money to pay the people to work it, not to mention all the costs involved federally to advertise and campaign, etc. What a waste…and for no ‘good’ reason! As for the personal attacks and name calling, etc. on here, I totally agree!

  44. Nancy • December 6, 2009 @ 1:04 PM

I can count on one hand how many times I have ever voted…and it was obviously that many times too many!

  45. tributegirl • December 7, 2009 @ 4:44 PM

I’ve never missed an opportunity to vote. It’s rarely gone my way, but still, I’d have to be in pretty bad shape to not vote!

  46. tributegirl • December 7, 2009 @ 4:44 PM

OMG, Nancy, we disagree on something again!

  47. Nancy • December 7, 2009 @ 5:41 PM

    Hahahaha…well, let the fight begin!

I don’t even like to think about voting…it hurts too much! Lies, all lies. I mean, it’s just so easy to take everyone’s money and blow it, blow it, blow it. LOL.

  48. gypsy • December 9, 2009 @ 3:23 AM

When I see a woman running for P.M.That will be my first time at the voting booths!!The chances of that happening are nil,so I know I never will!!!!!

  49. greenfun • December 11, 2009 @ 1:49 AM

Obama sucks. His administration gave wall street a bailout by buying their toxic assets at 100 cents on the dollar with tax payer money, and no regulations placed on them to prevent it from happening again. Unbelievable. Obama has said he supports a public option, yet does not get out there and really put his weight behind it. And then he goes behind closed doors and works out a deal with Billy tauzin that prevents the government from negotiating for drug prices-this is HUGE.
Face it you naive idiots-Obama is in bed with wall street, big pharma and the insurance industry.

  50. gypsy • December 11, 2009 @ 5:25 AM

greenfun..I really don’t care what he does.I’M CANADIAN,and we have our own problems,f@@k the rest of the B.S. going on in the world .I want to see our soldiers brought back from Iraq and all other fighting countries!!!We need to get our own prime minister outta bed with the USA and save our country first. There is not ONE DAM REASON that any Canadian should be homeless or any Canadian child going to bed hungry or cold, we are a self sufficient country, that needs no other, in MY OPINION!!!!!
