The animated film Kung Fu Panda debuted in the top spot at the North American box office, earning an impressive $60 million (all figures US) over the weekend. Adam Sandler’s new comedy You Don’t Mess with the Zohan opened in second place, earning $40 million, making it one of Sandler’s highest grossing debuts. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull dropped to third place in its third weekend at the box office, earning an additional $22.8 million. Sex and the City tumbled to fourth place from the top spot, earning $21.3 million. Rounding out the top five was The Strangers, down two spots from last weekend, grossing $9.3 million.
I saw the movie and it was AWESOME…I wanted to see it again the very next day…also I recomend seing in Imax the extra couple of bucks was soooo worth it…..SKADOOSH…
It would appear SEX & THE CITY has no legs at the box-office.
That’s because it stunk!
The Nude Bomb is coming to dvd.
Which one was awesome Tammy, Kung Fu Panda or You Don’t Mess With The Zohan? I think both previews looked really good but, I want to see You Don’t Mess With The Zohan more. Sandler is so funny…a little weird at times, like Jim Carey but, funny nonetheless.
Kung Fu Panda seems to be funny.
Sorry…I saw Kung Fu Panda and I too like Adam Sandler and will go see the Zohan soon…
Kung Fu Panda rocks!!!
Zohan had silly jokes!!!
Kung Fu Panda kicked butt. Took my kids to see it. My son loved it. My daughter wants to be the tiger. It was well scripted and Jack Black’s voice and character really shone through in the movie. The people picked right at the box office this weekend.
