Anne Hathaway in full Catwoman costume leaked online

By Alexandra Heilbron on September 27, 2011 | 10 Comments

Photos leaked over the Internet last Sunday of Anne Hathaway in her Catwoman costume give The Dark Knight Rises enthusiasts a taste of what to expect when the film hits theaters next summer. The grainy images reveal Hathaway in full character on the movie’s Los Angeles set this past weekend, donning a skin-tight leather body suit, kick-ass stiletto heels, half-face mask and pointy cat ears. An official photo released earlier this year, which shows the actress in a costume that includes goggles and excludes the signature cat ears and mask, generated fan outcry with some worrying that director Christopher Nolan‘s vision for Catwoman was way off the mark. When speaking to MTV, Hathaway responded to the negative reaction at the time commenting, “What I am happy to say is, if you didn’t like the photo, you only see about a 10th of what that suit can do. And if you did like the photo, you have excellent taste.” For many fans of the Batman franchise, these recently leaked images reveal an incarnation of Catwoman that stays true to the comic book vision. The Dark Knight Rises opens in theaters July 20, 2012. ~S. Jackson

They should have gone with the outfit catwoman has in HUSH, would have looked a lot better than this one.

^We shouldn’t judge it until we see in on camera. God knows the batman costume would look ridiculous if you took a snapshot of someone wearing it from down the street.

The Catwoman character to me was always stupid, a tight leather suite and a whip, oooohhh scary!!! I do hope Nolan does something way different than anything that was done in the past to make this a good character. What I love about Nolan’s Batman movies is that he took the corny and dumbness out of it, keep it up I say.

I am also happy the cheesy comic ‘Adam West’ character Batman is gone…it was fun when I was 7 but it needed to grow-up and go dark…that is the Batman I enjoy watching now. It is the same with James Bond 007…the gadgets were fun for a 7 yr old but I like that the 007 weapons are guns and body…no laser beam watches or suitcase helicopters…please…I could watch a new Batman movie every year and not miss batgirl…her name says it all…now if she were a woman…hohoho

oops…I was watching something and truly screwed up…it is catwoman not batgirl…brain freeze…oh well life goes on…but I am sure several commenters will do just that, comment on my harmless mistake…guess that means they are reading and paying attention…go 4 it…I am adult enough to take the heat…

Chris Nolan will make it look good. No way is this going to be basic Catwoman like the 60’s show. Tim Burton had a great idea for Catwoman at the time and made the character a viable one. I’m sure Nolan will do the same thing. His vision is crazy smart. See 2-face from the Dark Knight. Wow. He was no Tommy Lee Jones version!! That was a fantastic turn to evil and a great take using technology to make the face.
I don’t know about Anne Hathaway in the part. This is what Halle Berry should have waited for! Also she would have added sexy colour to the all-white cast. Racist bastards lol.
