Another Lindsay Lohan lawyer quits

Robert Shapiro, who was hired by Lindsay Lohan to represent her after her previous lawyer quit and another lawyer turned her down, has apparently also quit. The Los Angeles Times credited an unidentified source at the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department with providing the information that Shapiro was no longer on the case as of last night. Shapiro, who successfully defended O.J. Simpson in 1994 on murder charges, initially agreed to represent Lohan if she entered a sober living facility owned by Shapiro and if she agreed to comply with her jail sentence. She has been at the facility for the past week. She’ll be booked into jail sometime today to serve a 90-day sentence, but because she’s a non-violent offender, she’ll likely serve much less time. In 2007 she served only 84 minutes in jail after pleading guilty to cocaine use and driving under the influence.
