Avengers has begun filming

Joss Whedon announced through his fan site Whedonesque last Sunday that The Avengers would start filming Monday (yesterday). He wrote: “Tomorrow we start shooting (I THINK I’m legally permitted to say that). Day one. That’s right. We’ll be shooting the pivotal death/betrayal/product placement/setting up the sequel/coming out scene…  Anyhoo, it should be a fun day, followed by the eighty thousand other fun days it will take to finish this. I’ll be checking in from time to time, if there’s news or I crave attention (i.e. am awake).” Production began yesterday in Albuquerque, New Mexico. After that, the film will continue on with principal photography in Cleveland, Ohio and New York City. The all-star cast includes Robert Downey, Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron ManChris Hemsworth as Thor, Chris Evans as Captain America, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Mark Ruffalo as The Hulk, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury. It’s set to be released on on May 4, 2012.

Why do I have a feeling this movie will make a ton but suck really bad? lol. Ok I think it might have been better with Jon Favreau behind the helm, but let’s see what the Serenity guy can do. Fight scenes in that movie were decent so….But it is nice to see current characters signing up for a major ensemble piece. I just hope we can all follow along with everyones stories.

One thing is for sure, salary alone will cost about 50 millions so it better not flop. It’s gonna be a CGI galore with a lot of comic relief but very little heart. Emotinal moments will feel fake and forced but action will be plentiful.

This is a popcorn movie, nothing more, if you’re not the least bit entertained, the movie will be a failure. the problem is, there’s too many Super Hero movies these days and expectations are getting higher and higher. After a great SpiderMan sequel (2 not the awful SM 3) and the Dark Knight, the bar gets pretty tough to reach.

People will enjoy this movie like they enjoyed Transformers 1&2. It will make a lot of money but don’t expect a masterpiece.

“u guys r douchebags and dont noe how 2 appreci8 a reely gr8 movie” Go back to school douchebag and get an education! Or atleast a grasp of the english language you retard, man I hate people who think there cool cause they can type like an illiterate.

Anything by Joss Whedon will absolutely “ROCK”! It’s going to be “LEGEN – wait for it – DARY”!

Anyone who has followed Joss’s work will know he is a genious at the “Character Developement” so you will actually see a comic book movie where the characters will be written with better depth.
