Avengers: Infinity War remained at the top of the box office for a second weekend in a row, with absolutely no competition from new releases or from other current releases. It raked in an additional $112.5 million for a domestic total of $450.8 million, making it the second largest second weekend ever behind only Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and the fastest film to reach the $1 billion mark worldwide, in just 11 days. It is now the sixth Marvel title to reach that mark. Our users give it a 4 (out of 5) star rating.
The Anna Faris comedy remake Overboard, which opened in the U.S. only, debuted in second place above expectations with $14.8 million. It has a 5 star rating.
In its fifth weekend in theaters, former champion A Quiet Place continues to do well, dropping only one spot from last weekend to third place. It earned an additional $7.6 million for a domestic total of $159.9 million. Our users rate it 4.2 stars out of 5 stars.
Also dropping one spot was Amy Schumer‘s comedy film I Feel Pretty, taking in an additional $4.9 million for a three-week domestic total of $37.8 million and a rating of 3.4 stars.
Rounding out the top five was Rampage, with earnings of $4.6 million for a four-week domestic total of $84.8 million and a star rating of 4.3 stars. ~Alexandra Heilbron
