Bale intimidated by Crowe’s rep

Christian BaleChristian Bale was initially intimidated about working with Russell Crowe in the western film 3:10 to Yuma because of the Australian actor’s bad boy reputation. The two met for the first time on the set and Bale recalls: “We’d never met before and whenever people asked me what I was doing next and I said I was going to be working with Russell, they looked at me and said ‘You’re going to be in for a rough ride with him.’ [But] it was truly a pleasure.”
