Benicio Del Toro hates hunk label

By Alexandra Heilbron on February 16, 2010 | 3 Comments

benicio_del_toroBenicio Del Toro doesn’t think he is a “hunk.” The 42-year-old actor is frequently mentioned on lists of Hollywood’s hottest actors, but he finds it hard to see himself as a sex symbol. He insists he has never considered himself good-looking, and wishes more people would focus on his acting. “What is sexy? It’s part of the game and I’m not complaining. But I have never seen myself in a magazine and gone, ‘Whoa, he’s a hunk.’ I’m just an actor and I make movies,” Benicio told Parade magazine. Benicio plays a hairy beast in the horror film The Wolfman. He spends much of the film exploring his “primal” side, running through the forest screaming. The star says he found it easy to be so angry because he just remembered how he felt after his mother died when he was a child. “Anger is not a hard emotion to get to as a male actor,” he explained. “Where does it come from? Life, I guess. I remember the anger I felt when my mother died of hepatitis when I was nine. “It was a terrible time in my life and I still feel it. I guess it helped make me something of a rebel when I was in school. And I did get into some trouble. I didn’t get good grades, and a lot of teachers turned their backs on me.”

Bull, he’s enjoying every minute of it, he’s just playing the game almost similar to John’s tearful apology, trying to seem sweet.
