Beyonce baby news delays Clint Eastwood film

Beyoncé, 29, announced last night during the MTV Video Awards that she’s expecting a baby, as she unbuttoned her jacket and rubbed her belly, saying, “Tonight…I want you to feel the love that’s growing inside of me.” She previously said that she wanted to have a baby with her husband, Jay-Z, by the time she’s 30 — her birthday is September 4. However, the news has put her movie A Star is Born, to be directed by Clint Eastwood on delay. It was scheduled to start shooting next February, but will now have to wait until after the baby’s arrival. This will give producers a little more time to find a male lead — Leonardo DiCaprio has already turned the role down, but Christian Bale and Will Smith are also being considered. ~Alexandra Heilbron

Beyonce in a Clint Eastwood movie?? Didn’t know about that, I like all his movies but Beyonce is not an actress that I feel can make a powerful movie. The way she anounced her pregnancy by unbottoning her jacket and showing off her belly was a little over the top. Be happy, but don’t exploit it for publicity, it’s pretty laim. We all know your new album bombed, no need to exploit your unborn child to get sales.

Why not cast unknown actress/singer in the role then they literally can call it A Star is Born.

I agree, anonymous, that would be a really good solution. I prefer to see unknowns in movies rather than the same old faces year after year.

Beyonce is a public person. I was delighted by her joy and her husband and I’m glad that she share this wonderful news with her fans. Sorry for the haters.

Beyonce didn’t have a signed contract to appear in the moview….so Clint can replace her if he wants.
In terms of casting, they should have someone who can sing….how about Hugh Jackman?
