Queen B is adding to her brood — times two!
Beyoncé Knowles and her husband, hip-hop mogul Jay Z, are expecting two new additions to their family. The news broke today (Feb. 1), via an Instagram photo on Beyoncé’s official account.
Not one to shy away from an extravagant baby announcement, the photo shows the lingerie-clad star and her growing belly perched glamorously upon of a bed of colorful flowers.
“We would like to share our love and happiness. We have been blessed two times over. We are incredibly grateful that our family will be growing by two, and we thank you for your well wishes. – The Carters,” the caption reads.
Beyoncé and Jay Z are already parents to five-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy. The singer famously announced her first pregnancy during her live performance at the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards.
Knowles’ mother, Tina, also took to social media to share her joy. She reposted the same photo, writing, “WOW I don’t have to keep the secret anymore😀 I am soooo happy ❤️❤️ God is so good❤️ twin blessings.”
While the pregnancy news is undoubtedly exciting for most, some others are finding it a cause for panic. It was announced earlier this year that the singer would be a headliner at the annual Coachella music festival in April. However, event producers were reportedly unaware of her pregnancy until she made the announcement, and it is now unclear if she will still perform.
Beyoncé’s attendance at the 59th Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday, Feb. 12 is also unconfirmed. She takes the lead with the most nominations — nine total — including Album of the Year, Record of the Year, and Song of the Year for her chart-topping album, Lemonade. ~Ashleen Grange
