Jessica BielDaily Variety reports that Jessica Biel is in talks to play Wonder Woman in the new Justice League of America movie. Biel, 25, is the forerunner to play the role, and if talks go well, she’ll emerge with the part. The film will feature an ensemble cast of superheros such as Superman, Batman, Aquaman and the Flash, although no other casting has taken place yet. Biel, who recently wrapped up filming on Powder Blue in Los Angeles opposite Forest Whitaker and Ray Liotta, is currently dating Justin Timberlake.

i was kinda hoping that meaghan fox would have gotten the role but i guess anyone is better than katie holmes.
why not just get the guys who are currently playing the other roles to be in the film, bale as batman, routhe as superman, reynolds as the flash and just get some new dood for aquaman… we all know aquaman sucks anyways.

Aquaman is awsome, if you knew anything about him you would know. And no one would want to see Sarah Jessica Parker as WW

the only thing good about her is her ass/boobs. her face and her smile is just HIDEOUS!

“why not just get the guys who are currently playing the other roles to be in the film, bale as batman, routhe as superman, reynolds as the flash and just get some new dood for aquaman we all know aquaman sucks anyways.”

Bale doesn’t want anything to do with a non-Nolan BATMAN flick. Besides, everyone knows the JLA movie is Warner’s attempt to save face and extricate them from the SUPERMAN RETURNS fiasco. Zac Efron is going to be Flash, and as for Aquaman, well, he fights crime…underwater.

Christian Biel is going to be Wonder Woman?

Amanda Bynes is perfect for Wonder Woman, but I can understand why they’re going with Parker.

uh well first of all, it has been officially stated Aquaman is not in the movie and you may be getting actresses confuse because of the fact wonder woman is in this and a movie of her own (with two different actresses)

zac efron was not cast as the flash the top runner is ryan reynolds..

  12. Anonymous • September 28, 2007 @ 12:21 PM

it was jsut stated yesterday that they are looking for someone to play aquaman, therefore this “official statement” is incorrect.
they cant be looking to cast a role if the role doesnt exsist.

If the JLA actors don’t look similiar to Alex Ross’ version, then the concept sucks

Ryan Reynolds was quite good in “Fracture,” but I can’t see him as The Flash.

  15. yourmama • September 29, 2007 @ 6:25 PM

    jessica alba for WW

  16. Anonymous • September 29, 2007 @ 6:53 PM

ryan reynolds is a different person…you’re thinking ryan gosling

  17. Anonymous • September 29, 2007 @ 7:33 PM

People make that mistake all the time. Ryan Reynolds is probably best known for playing Seven of Nine on “Star Trek.”

  18. Anonymous • September 30, 2007 @ 12:34 AM

Ryan Reynolds was also in Van Wilder, Blade 3, and The Amitiville Horror.

Those movies are TERRIBLE! No wonder Zac was chosen to play Flash!

  20. Anonymous • September 30, 2007 @ 10:17 AM

Last I heard, the producers wanted Mylie Cyrus to play Wonder Woman.

  21. Anonymous • September 30, 2007 @ 10:04 PM

The only film I’ve seen of Ryan Reynolds is Smokey & the Bandit.

  22. Mary • October 1, 2007 @ 12:02 AM

Okay, First, Jeri Ryan played 7 of 9 in Star Trek, at least get your sexes straight and second… Jessica Biel as Wonder Woman? THIS is going to be the ultimate, athletic amazon from Paradise Island who can even take on Superman? You may as well cast Ashley Olsen for the part, because it’s going to end up straight to video at the rate they are going. Let me guess, Nathan Lane will be Superman? Good Grief, another comic book movie gone horribly bad, need I remind everyone of Cat Woman?

  23. Anonymous • October 1, 2007 @ 7:30 AM

CATWOMAN was better than the uber-boring SUPERMAN RETURNS.

  24. Pepe • October 1, 2007 @ 7:32 AM

Corey Haim for Flash, Shania Twain for Wonder Woman.

  25. Anonymous • October 1, 2007 @ 7:33 AM

I too loved Ryan Reynolds as Seven of Nine.

  26. Anonymous • October 1, 2007 @ 9:58 AM

With that bod, Ryan Reynolds should be Aquaman. Thomas Jane should be the Flash. I think Jessica Biel is a great choice for Wonder Woman. She is young, and in great shape. Maybe Sarah Jessica Parker can do a cameo as Wonder Woman’s grandmother.

Awsome! I used to watch Justice League on TV all the time! Now they should make that movie about that girl and the thousand paper cranes. I forgot what the title is but those of you who read a lot of books should know what I am talking about.

I totally agree with you “Mary”. Maybe when the Hollywood casting directors get their acts together, they could actually make a comic book movie that doesn’t crash and burn after opening weekend…or go straight to video. The following would all be bad choices for Wonder Woman:
    1. Katie Holmes
    2. Jessica Simpson
    3. Jessica Biel
    4. Sarah Jessica Parker
    5. Jessica Alba
    6. Pamela Anderson
    7. And many others

    Good choices
    1. Megan Fox
    2. Jennifer Garner
    3. Jada Pinkett Smith (if they step outside the box)
    4. Angelina Jolie
    5. Charlize Theron (die her hair as she’s done for Aeon Flux)
    6. Rachel McAdams (who as far as I’m concerned has yet to do a dud movie – fabulous actress and she’s Canadian!)

It looks like they should not hire anyone to play WW if there name has “Jessica” in it.

On another note, anything Ryan Reynolds does would hold water because he can act, is great in action movies and has the body/discipline to pull it off. Pah-lease…Zack Efron is totally over-rated. Later!

  29. Anonymous • October 2, 2007 @ 1:41 AM

Ryan Reynolds may be the single most unappealing “actor” working today. It also doesn’t help that he’s done nothing but s— movies…

  30. Anonymous • October 2, 2007 @ 1:43 AM

Mariah Carey is the best choice to play Wonder Woman.

  31. Inflatable Goiter • October 2, 2007 @ 1:45 AM

Reynolds hasn’t done a decent movie since Boogie Nights.

  32. Sparky • October 2, 2007 @ 3:48 PM

They should hoenestly find a new comer for the role because everyone else will try and over shadow the role. There is a reason your not a casting director Velvet, your choices were horrible.

  33. Sparky • October 2, 2007 @ 3:48 PM

oh ya Zac Efron is a homosexual!

  34. blah • October 2, 2007 @ 9:15 PM

I thought Wonder Woman was supposed to be hot. Sarah Jessica Parker is, to put it nicely, not particularly attractive lol, not to mention incredibly annoying. Jessica Biel would be amazing, I don’t like the character but I would LOVE to see her play it.

  35. Anonymous • October 2, 2007 @ 11:26 PM

What red-blooded American male wouldn’t want to see Parker in starry hotpants? The producers made the right choice.

  36. sweeeeet • October 3, 2007 @ 9:32 PM

I think that Eliza Dushku would be prime choice…and nice on the eyes!

meaghsn fox is the right choice for ww jessica biel not bad
