Big Bang Theory Johnny Galecki’s home burned to ground

Johnny Galecki, known best for playing Leonard on the hit show The Big Bang Theory, lost his home in California after it burned to the ground on Monday night (June 27).

Johnny’s ranch is situated in San Luis Obispo, 190 miles away from Los Angeles, and was completely destroyed after being caught in the path of a large fire. He was not home at the time and no one else has been reported as being injured by the blaze.

The actor confirmed the loss of his home to TMZ as well as giving his condolences to others affected by the fire, but notes these kind of things are a risk residents in the area must contend with, saying, “My heart goes out to all in the area who are also experiencing loss from this vicious fire, the threat of which we live with constantly, which may seem crazy to some but we do so because living in our beautiful, rural area makes it worthwhile. It’s never the structures that create a community — it’s the people.”

He went on, “And if the people of Santa Margarita have taught me anything it’s that, once the smoke has cleared, literally and figuratively, it’s a time to reach out and rebuild. We’ve done it before, and will need to do it together again, and it will make our community even closer and stronger. Endless thanks to CalFire and the Sheriff’s Office. I know you guys are fighting the good fight to keep us safe. So very relieved no one has been hurt.”

The fire was eating up roughly 1,200 acres in the area and is about 40 percent contained at the time this was written.

Sources say the star hasn’t seen his home since the fire consumed it but is making plans to return to salvage anything left, pending an all clear from the authorities. ~Alexa Caruso

I WENT THRU MY FIRST AND ONLY FIRE IN 2014 AND HAD LIVED THERE FOR 15 YEARS, ALTHO An apartment it was home to me.
SORRY NEED CAPS TO SEE TODAY. MY HEART GOES OUT TO JOHNNY G AND ALL THOSE AFFECTED BYTHIS FIRE. IT IS HEARTBREAKING TO LOSE THINGS ONE HAS COLLECTED ALL OF A LIFETIME AND WHICH HAVE MEANING. SOME THINGS ARE FROM DECEASED LOVED ONES AND ARE NOT REPLACEABLE.

BUT FACT IS PERSONAL BELONGINGS BECOME LESS SIGNIFICANT WHEN HUMAN BEINGS ARE SAFE. I WAS VERY LUCKY AND THE FIRE BROUGHT OUT THE BEST IN PEOPLE…AND THE WORST. I AM FOREVER CHANGED AND WAS VERY VERY LUCKY TO HAVE BEEN ABLE TO SAVE A LOT AND ESPECIALLY MY BELOVED PICTURES. MANY PRAYERS FOR THE RECOVERY AND COMFORT OF THE PEOPLE OF THE AREA, INCLUDING JOHNNY. I love Johnny on the Big Bang show. It’s just great. But really sorry to hear that he has lost his home to one of earth’s nastiest ravages – fire. My heart goes out to everyone who lives in that area and has had their home destroyed. Stay strong.

Sorry for your loss and glad no one was hurt, I had an apartment fire lost everything. I left an half an hour before it started, I had no insurance but my roommate did at the time and helped me out. Big Bang is still a funny show.

Terrible losses for all involved, but Johnny has an amazing attitude about it all and he’ll live a much more peaceful and happy existence because of it..
